You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job.

Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment. In your letter

• describe the problem with the equipment
• explain how this problem is affecting your work
• say what you want the shop or company to do

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Iam writing to complain about a problem with the laptop that I purchased from your company two months ago. Although the equipment was functioning properly initially, it has recently started experiencing technical issues.

The main problem is that the laptop suddenly freezes and shut down while Iam working. In addition it takes several minutes to restart, and on some occasions, I have lost unsaved work as a result. I have already tried updating the software's but still the problem persist.

As I work from home, I rely heavily on laptop to complete my daily tasks and attend online meetings. I have missed two virtual meetings this week and also have been unable to complete some assignments on time.

I would therefore appreciate it if you could arrange laptop to be repaired or replaced as soon as possible. Still the equipment is still under warranty, I would except this service to be provided at no additional cost.

I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution to this issue.
