Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three bullet points: the problem is described (slow charging, screen issues, random restarts), the impact on work is explained (delays in submitting articles), and a request for action is made. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited and repetitive. The tone is occasionally inconsistent, and the opening is slightly awkward ('I am writing to request you that I am Rajan'). To reach a higher band, the ideas should be expanded with more professional language and a clearer structure that flows naturally from the problem to the desired solution.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite basic and sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition between the problem description and the impact on work is abrupt. There is a lack of variety in linking words, and some sentences are fragmented or run-on, which disrupts the flow. Improving the use of transition signals (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'as a result') would significantly enhance the logical flow of the letter.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite simple and repetitive. Phrases like 'not working properly' are used twice, and 'do a lot of work' is basic. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'respond it to through gmail' and 'switch off automatically'. While the meaning is generally clear, there is little attempt to use less common or more precise vocabulary related to technical equipment or professional correspondence. Expanding your range of collocations would help convey your message more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('it is even delay my work'), missing articles, and punctuation errors. The sentence structure is often fragmented, such as 'One of the major problem is that its slow in charging.' These errors are noticeable and occasionally require the reader to re-read to understand the intended meaning. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will help improve your accuracy.
