IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job.

Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment. In your letter

• describe the problem with the equipment
• explain how this problem is affecting your work
• say what you want the shop or company to do

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Student answer (Band 6.0)

Dear sir,

I am writing this letter to inform you that I am working online for this company for past two years. However, the Laptop which i used for the work is very old and needs to be repairing as soon as possible.

The issue related to this Laptop is that it is hanged more and the screen is stuck for five to ten minutes in between the work especially when i am attending some important work meetings. Even the battery is no longer holds for a reasonable amount of time.

Therefore, I am not able to work more conveniently and can not focus properly. The company can also face problem such as loss profit and negative impact on the reputation of an organization. No one works for the company if this problem can not resolve.

The company can provide funds for the repairing of this equipment . It will be great if company replace this with the new computer.
