Respected mam/sir
My name is lovepreet and I am a member who working from home at your company as a supervisor . I am writing this letter to describe a problem that I faced with my laptod which I used for my daily work.
Last month, I had a problem with my laptop, when I was preparing an assignment for a meeting. Suddenly, my laptop became slowed. After a few minutes the screen turned in to black and stopped working.
At first, I felt worried because I had not saved any work. I tried to restart it but it did not working . I could not complete my task before deadline which can affect negatively on my work. I have feared that If all the data get reset, it can create detrimental problems for me.
Therefore, I want to request you that could you please share me that hard copies which I send you after meetings everymonth. I think that those copies will help me for future's meeting. I believe that you never disappoint me.
I am looking for your response.
Yours faithfully

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three bullet points: the problem is described, the impact on work is explained, and a request for action is made. However, the request is slightly confusing; you ask the company to provide 'hard copies' of documents you sent them, which is an unusual request for a technical support issue. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though the opening 'Respected mam/sir' is non-standard for IELTS; 'Dear Sir or Madam' is the preferred professional convention. The ideas are relevant, but the development of the request could be clearer to ensure the reader understands exactly what is needed to resolve the situation.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the narrative. There is a clear progression from the introduction to the problem, the impact, and finally the request. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. For example, the transition 'Therefore' is used to introduce the request, but the connection between the laptop failure and the request for hard copies is not logically bridged. Referencing is generally clear, but the overall flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect sentences more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range expected at higher bands. There are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'laptod' instead of 'laptop' and 'slowed' instead of 'slow'. Phrases like 'turned in to black' are unnatural; 'turned black' or 'the screen went blank' would be more appropriate. While the message is clear, the range of vocabulary is limited to basic, everyday terms, and there is little attempt to use less common or more sophisticated lexical items to describe the technical issue or the professional context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'a member who working' (should be 'who works'), 'it did not working' (should be 'it did not work'), and 'If all the data get reset' (should be 'gets reset'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and the use of capital letters. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the response from reaching a higher band. More attention to verb tenses and subject-verb agreement is needed.
