Dear sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the laptop that your esteemed company named ,Gupta Electronics, has supplied in the previous month. I was unable to choose the brand of my laptop while purchasing and you offered me the great deal with several benefits, claiming it to be the useful purchase. However, the device has numerous issues such as, it runs slow , less battery backup ,etc.
I work at home with a multinational company which demands accurate work on time. Moreover, It ask for the high maintainance even though i purchased it a month back. Therefore, due to such inconvenience by the laptop, I am unable to fullfill the requirnment of my work.
I would really appreciate it if you could look upon the problems and repair it accordingly, or exchange it with the better device.
I look forward to your prompt response.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You successfully cover all three bullet points required by the prompt. You begin by describing the problem with the equipment, mentioning that the laptop runs slowly and has poor battery backup. You then explain how this is affecting your work, stating that you are unable to fulfill the requirements of your multinational company due to the inconvenience caused. Finally, you state what you want the company to do, specifically asking them to either repair the laptop or exchange it for a better device. The tone is appropriately formal for a complaint letter. Your ideas are relevant and clearly linked to the scenario provided, meaning all parts of the task are addressed adequately.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
Your letter has a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical progression from stating the purpose of the letter and the problems, to explaining the impact on your work, and finally requesting a solution. You use some cohesive devices such as 'However', 'Moreover', and 'Therefore' to connect your ideas. However, paragraphing is somewhat weak, as the entire body of the letter is compressed into a single large paragraph rather than being broken down into logical paragraphs for each prompt point. Additionally, referencing with phrases like 'such inconvenience by the laptop' is slightly awkward, which places this response comfortably at band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using functional terms like 'dissatisfaction', 'multinational company', and 'prompt response'. You attempt some less common vocabulary such as 'esteemed company' and 'inconvenience', though there are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices, such as 'runs slow' (should be 'runs slowly') and 'less battery backup' (should be 'poor battery life'). Spelling is generally accurate, but some phrasing feels unnatural. The vocabulary used is sufficient to communicate your message clearly, but inaccuracies prevent you from achieving a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as 'I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the laptop that your esteemed company... has supplied' and 'I would really appreciate it if you could look upon the problems'. However, there are several grammatical errors and punctuation issues throughout the text, including spacing errors around commas and periods (e.g., 'named ,Gupta Electronics', 'slow , less', 'Moreover, It ask'), subject-verb agreement errors ('It ask' instead of 'It asks'), and article usage errors ('a great deal', 'the useful purchase'). While these errors do not impede overall communication, their frequency prevents access to higher bands.
