Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you identify the laptop’s freezing and weak battery, explain that these problems affected your seminar attendance and contact with followers, and request a replacement device. The examples make the complaint relevant and give the reader a clear reason to act. The impact on your work is the strongest part, particularly the missed seminar and its importance for promotion. However, the request is brief and does not specify whether you expect a replacement, repair, or another remedy beyond “providing new device”; a clearer, more fully explained request would strengthen the letter. The purpose and tone are generally appropriate, though a more consistently formal closing would improve the overall effect.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a recognisable progression from introducing the complaint, to describing the faults, explaining their consequences, and requesting help. Paragraph breaks support this sequence, and linking expressions such as “Not only this” and “Morever” show an attempt to connect related points. The organisation is coherent overall, but some transitions feel mechanical, and the connection between the battery problem and its effect on work is not developed as clearly as the freezing issue. The sentence about declining followers also arrives somewhat abruptly. To make the progression smoother, group each equipment fault with its specific work consequence and use more natural links between paragraphs. Keep the greeting and closing consistently formal.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for a complaint, including “equipment,” “battery power,” “seminar,” and “promotion,” so the main message is understandable. There are also attempts at more formal expressions, such as “I am writing to express my concern” and “I would be grateful.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “exress,” “regurlar,” “hange,” “bettry,” and “contant.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, such as “I want to familiar with the main concern” and “my followers are declining.” These choices sometimes make the reader work to interpret your meaning. Focus on accurate spelling and natural collocations for describing faults and their effects.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the contrast structure “Not only this…” and a conditional request beginning “I would be grateful if…”. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur across the letter. For example, “I could not to attend” should be “I could not attend,” while “I was unable to fixed it” should be “I was unable to fix it.” In “the laptop that i use on regurlar basis,” the article and capitalisation also need attention. Some sentences run together, particularly around “meeting. Not only this,” so punctuation and spacing should be checked. Practise accurate basic clauses before adding more complex structures.
