Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you describe the laptop’s slow start-up and shutdowns, explain that these disrupt online meetings and presentations and have led to lost files, and request a replacement or repair. The purpose is clear and appropriate for a formal complaint. The impact on your work is relevant, but could be developed more fully—for example, explain how missed meetings or lost files affect deadlines. The request would also be stronger if you specified a preferred solution and a timeframe. The response is 7 words below the required minimum, so add a little more relevant detail to meet the task requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a recognisable progression from the reason for writing, to the problem, its effect, and the requested action. Paragraph breaks help separate these stages, and phrases such as “This issue is making my job harder” make the relationship between the problem and its consequences clear. However, the development within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt: the sentence about lost files is joined to the meeting and presentation examples without clearly distinguishing the effects. Use clearer links, such as “As a result” or “In addition,” and ensure each paragraph develops one main point. The closing is present, though the sign-off and final sentence could be presented more cleanly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough task-related vocabulary to communicate the main issue, including “online meetings,” “crucial files,” “replace,” and “fix this problem.” These choices show some range beyond very basic wording. However, several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “problem to start my laptop,” “on that time,” and “lost some crucial files from my data.” Spelling and capitalisation errors, including “mettings,” “abour,” and “Working,” also reduce control. Aim for precise collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe the laptop as “taking a long time to start” and say that files were “lost from my computer.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect explanation beginning “as when I start to join…” and a request using “I would appreciate if…”. The overall meaning remains understandable, but some errors in tense, articles, sentence construction, and punctuation make parts less smooth. For example, “From few days I am facing” needs a more accurate time expression and verb form, while “It stop Working” has an agreement error. The long sentence about meetings, presentations, and lost files would be clearer if divided into shorter sentences. Practise accurate past and present forms and use commas and full stops to control sentence boundaries.
