Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You cover the three main points: you identify the laptop and its shutdown problem, explain that it is affecting your exam preparation, and request a replacement. The warranty reference and the fact that you have already taken the laptop to the shop add relevant context. However, some details are unclear or insufficiently developed. For example, “I already delivered it to your shop” does not explain whether the company has inspected it or what response you received, and the request to “change it” could specify a replacement under the warranty and a timeframe. The purpose is generally understandable, but the position and requested action are not consistently expressed clearly. Develop these details and make the request more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter follows a broadly sensible order: it introduces the purchase and fault, describes the effect on your studies, and ends with a request. Paragraph breaks also help separate these points. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and several links are repetitive or unclear. For instance, “I can not survive without it mostly this month” is followed by “Except of it I can not prepare my test,” which repeats the impact rather than developing it. The warranty information is also crowded into the opening paragraph. Use clearer transitions and organise the letter into distinct paragraphs for the problem, its consequences, and the action requested. A conventional closing would also make the ending easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “laptop,” “warranty card,” “critical problem,” and “exams,” so the reader can identify the situation. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the message harder to understand. “You will be fantastic if you know” does not express the intended opening meaning, while “take positive design” is not a natural way to ask for a favourable response. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “warenty,” “alredy,” and “obediently.” Aim for precise, conventional language for a complaint letter, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts some longer sentence forms, such as explaining the warranty condition and linking the laptop fault to its effect on your studies. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, verb forms, articles, and punctuation. For example, “it is about 10 days ago i bought it” has an incorrect time structure, and “it is clearly writeen that you can change it” does not form the passive correctly. The opening also runs several clauses together without appropriate sentence boundaries. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with clear clause boundaries and consistent verb forms.
