Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the three requested points: the ultrasound machine fell and stopped working, this disrupts upcoming patient visits, and you ask the supplier to arrange a replacement or loan machine. These details keep the letter relevant. However, the request is not fully clear: “arrange this modality for several days” does not specify whether you want a temporary replacement, repair, or another solution. The effect on your work is also only briefly explained, and the concern about losing patients is difficult to interpret. The response is 13 words below the required minimum, so there is limited space for developing these points. Add a clear description of the equipment and a specific, polite request, with a little more explanation of the practical impact.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable progression: you introduce the equipment problem, describe its effect on your work, and finish with a request. The paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages. Some connections, however, are unclear or mechanical. “However” does not clearly contrast with the preceding account, and “this situation affected my current visits that will be attending within hour” makes the sequence of events hard to follow. The final request also appears abruptly, without a clear transition from the impact on your work. Use straightforward links such as “As a result” and “I would therefore be grateful if…” and make sure each paragraph develops one point in a logical order.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “ultrasound,” “shoulder pain,” “trigger point pain relief,” and “patients,” which helps identify the equipment’s purpose and the work affected. There are also attempts at more specific language, but several choices or spellings make the meaning unclear: “gave ultrasound to my mother,” “modality,” “su itation,” and “disscuss.” “Modality” is repeated and is not the clearest term for a piece of equipment in this letter. Choose familiar, precise wording such as “ultrasound machine,” “treatment sessions,” and “appointments.” Careful proofreading of spelling and collocations would make your meaning easier to understand and give the letter a more professional tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example when explaining how the machine fell and how this affected your visits. However, these attempts are often difficult to follow because of errors in verb forms, sentence construction, and punctuation. In “when moved aside the machine touched to my leg and falled to floor,” the subject and verb forms are unclear; “when I moved it aside, it touched my leg and fell to the floor” would be more controlled. The sentence beginning “this is a best modality” also shifts tense and lacks clear structure. Use a reliable mix of short sentences and carefully formed complex sentences, checking articles, past-tense verbs, and sentence boundaries.
