Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you identify the webcam problem, explain that it disrupted a client meeting and could put your job at risk, and request either a replacement or an inspection. These details make the purpose clear and relevant. The effect on your work is the strongest part, especially the explanation that your workplace requires the camera to remain on during meetings. However, the request is not fully precise: “send some to check about the issue” does not clearly say who should inspect it, and the proposed exception is difficult to understand. Explain whether you want a technician, repair, or replacement, and state a clear timeframe or next step to develop the request more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter follows a broadly sensible order: it introduces the fault, describes its impact, and then asks the company to act. This gives the reader an overall sense of purpose. However, most of the information is packed into two very long sentences, so the sequence of events and requests is difficult to follow. For example, the sentence beginning “Can you please issue me a new camera” moves from replacement to inspection, equipment checks, your manager’s advice, and an exception without clear breaks. Use separate paragraphs for the problem and its effect, then the requested solution, and divide related ideas into shorter sentences. Clearer links between these points would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “web camera,” “client,” “mandatory policy,” and “equipment,” so the reader can understand the general issue. There are also attempts to express urgency and importance through “as fast as possible” and “crucial.” However, several word choices and spelling errors reduce precision, such as “double all my equipment,” “send some to check,” and “make a exception.” Some phrases are also repetitive, particularly references to the equipment and the issue. Choose more exact expressions for checking the device and requesting a replacement, and proofread spelling. A more formal, consistent register would also suit a letter to a supplier.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts to connect ideas using clauses such as “when I was having a meeting” and “because it is very crucial equipment for job,” showing some variety beyond simple sentences. However, long sentences joined without appropriate punctuation make the grammar difficult to control. There are errors in verb forms and tense, for example “to informed” and “it suddenly switch off,” as well as agreement and article problems in “he does not complain” and “a exception.” The opening also combines several clauses without clear sentence boundaries. Use shorter sentences, check subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and add articles where needed. These changes would make the message clearer while preserving the details you have included.
