Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You identify a relevant benefit: tourists can explore unfamiliar environments, experience nature and learn about survival in difficult conditions. The descriptions of the Sahara and Antarctica also show some awareness of the topic. However, the task asks for both benefits and disadvantages, and the response mainly describes the locations; it does not clearly explain the risks or other disadvantages for tourists. The final sentence is cut off, so the point about government restrictions is not developed. The response is also 64 words below the 250-word minimum, which limits how fully you can address the question. To improve, state a clear overall view and develop at least one benefit and one disadvantage with reasons and a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, a paragraph about reasons for visiting, and descriptions of the two environments. This gives the reader some sense of organisation, and the contrast between the hot desert and cold Antarctic setting is relevant. However, the ideas do not progress clearly towards an answer about both benefits and disadvantages. Repeated openings such as “There are so many” make the development feel repetitive, while links between points are limited. The final sentence ends abruptly, leaving the conclusion and the government point unclear. Organise the body into distinct paragraphs for benefits and disadvantages, use linking phrases to show cause and contrast, and finish with a complete concluding sentence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “conditions,” “venomous snakes,” “sea creatures,” and “survive,” which helps communicate the general subject. There is also an attempt to describe contrasting environments and their natural features. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “different types” and “most.” Some spelling errors, such as “resons,” “wheather,” “diiferent,” and “beautifull,” are noticeable, and phrases such as “famous visiting places” and “feel the nature” are not natural collocations. Build a more precise range for discussing tourism, risks and benefits, and check spelling and word combinations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most sentences use simple structures, and the reader can generally understand the main points. You attempt some longer sentences, for example, “There are so many reasons which i will discuss with you in the next paragraphs,” but control is inconsistent. Errors include missing or incorrect articles and agreement in “Antarctic and sahara desert has two different kind,” as well as sentence-boundary and punctuation problems. The opening also joins clauses without appropriate spacing or punctuation, and the final sentence is incomplete. These issues make parts of the response difficult to follow. Practise accurate sentence boundaries, subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms, then add a few controlled complex sentences to explain causes and consequences.
