Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting extreme locations. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the argument regarding 'will power' is vague and lacks a concrete, real-world example, relying instead on a generic reference to a 'USA's newspaper'. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, detailed examples and ensure that your arguments are fully extended rather than just stated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'the' or 'this' to start sentences. Some transitions between ideas feel abrupt, particularly in the second paragraph where the link between 'adventurous things' and 'tackling problems' is not clearly articulated. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow of the essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'do the adventurous things' and 'masses who explore'. Additionally, there are minor errors in word choice, such as 'get succeed' instead of 'succeed' or 'achieve success'. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary related to travel, climate, and human endurance.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'it is a trend to explore the locations by visitors', 'the perform well', and 'this change make their life hard'. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would be highly beneficial.
