Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting extreme environments. You have identified key points such as personal satisfaction and resilience as benefits, and health risks as disadvantages. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of how resilience is built is quite brief, and the discussion on health risks could be more detailed with more specific examples beyond just 'getting sick'. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with clear, logical reasoning and perhaps a more concrete real-world example to support your claims.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Finally', 'As a result', and 'To conclude'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions feel repetitive. For example, the use of 'As a result' appears multiple times in a short space. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring that the relationship between ideas is more fluid will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to communicate your ideas clearly, such as 'resilience', 'unexpected situations', and 'precautions'. However, there are some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'tendency to having illness' (should be 'susceptibility to illness') and 'get warm clothings' (should be 'warm clothing'). There are also minor spelling errors like 'resiliance' and 'diffficult'. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for common phrases and proofreading for spelling accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles (e.g., 'the Sahara desert', 'the Antarctic'), subject-verb agreement ('Many young adults wants'), and preposition usage. Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'The main advantages... is that it builds resiliance'. To achieve a higher score, work on refining your control over complex sentence structures and pay closer attention to basic grammatical rules like pluralization and verb agreement.
