Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of extreme tourism. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the point about helping scientists is a good start but lacks specific detail or real-world examples. The conclusion is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which prevents a clear summary of your position. To improve, ensure each body paragraph has a fully developed argument with a clear example, and always complete your conclusion to provide a sense of closure to the reader.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'Apart from this', but these are sometimes used mechanically or with grammatical errors (e.g., 'Apart from this, help in the growth...'). The progression of ideas is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing, and the abrupt ending significantly impacts the overall coherence of the piece. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring logical flow between sentences would raise your score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'difficult conditions' and 'new things'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'no medical sport' (likely meaning 'support') and 'latest discovers' (should be 'discoveries'). To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to tourism and environment, and pay closer attention to word forms (e.g., using 'discovery' as a noun instead of 'discovers').
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. Frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the number of tourists increasing'), article usage, and sentence fragments (e.g., 'First and foremost is , explore something new') impede the flow. Many sentences are grammatically incomplete or awkward, which forces the reader to work harder to understand your meaning. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing verbs or incorrect prepositions.
