Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting extreme locations. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention health risks like 'dizziness' and 'dehydration' as disadvantages, and 'night sky views' as a benefit, these points could be expanded with more depth or specific examples. The introduction is a bit vague, and the conclusion is quite brief. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with clear reasoning and perhaps a more detailed illustrative example. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the argument remains at a basic level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'To conclude with' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is slightly unclear, such as in the opening sentence where the connection between 'digital existence' and the popularity of these locations is not fully explained. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'adventurous', 'extreme weather conditions', and 'dehydration'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'dessert' instead of 'desert', and some awkward phrasing like 'digital existence of individuals'. The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you are using the correct terminology for the topics discussed. Expanding your range to include more academic or topic-specific vocabulary will also help.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'There are number of pros', 'individual are coming', and 'they won’t able to see'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not completely impede communication. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, article usage, and the correct formation of modal verbs. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will significantly improve your score in this criterion.
