Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting difficult environments. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the benefits section where three points are provided but lack distinct depth. The examples provided, such as the bear or lion attacks, are relevant but slightly anecdotal in nature. To reach a higher band, you should ensure that the ideas are more fully extended and that the distinction between the benefits and drawbacks is more balanced. The position is clear, but the overall development of ideas remains somewhat superficial.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First and the foremost', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some referencing is slightly unclear, such as the transition between the general topic of 'difficult places' and the specific focus on 'camping in the forest'. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to discuss the topic, including terms like 'scarcity', 'fundamental', and 'hustles'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'Tourists are more tend to', 'breathe taking views', and 'news about bear was wondering'. These errors do not impede communication, but they demonstrate a limited control over more sophisticated lexical items. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring that word forms (e.g., 'breathtaking' vs 'breathe taking') are used correctly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they are frequently marred by grammatical errors, such as 'there are majority of chances that animals pass', 'lion attack on one person', and 'just for visit the such places'. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly verb tenses and prepositions.
