Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary era, more and more tourists are visiting such places where conditions are difficult such as Antarctic or the Sahara desert. There are several benefits and disadvantages for the visitors who visit these places. This essay will discuss advantages and drawbacks of exploring these sites.
On the one hand, the prominent virtues of going on these area are one of the unique experience. Although, everyone wants to go there but unfortunately some people gets the chance to visit it. Exploring different placing will help a visitor to knowing that place more and more. Some visitors believe that if you want to get information you should visit that particular area. For example, if some one have the passion to knowing the deserts and their history then it will be a great opportunity to explore and learn the heritage of the specific area.
On the other hand, travelling to such challenging destinations is not without significant drawbacks. One major concern is that is the potential danger to tourists because these destinations often have extreme weather conditions and limited facilities. For instance, tourists travelling to the Sahara Desert may suffer from extreme heat, dehydration, or a shortage of drinking water. As a result, an enjoyable trip can become a serious health risk if visitors are not properly prepared.
In conclusion, although visiting challenging destinations can provide tourists with unique experiences and valuable knowledge, it can also pose serious risks to their safety and negatively affect the environment. Therefore, tourists should take proper precautions and follow environmental regulations when travelling to such places.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing both benefits and disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the benefit of 'gaining knowledge' is mentioned but not fully explored with specific, convincing detail. The explanation of disadvantages is more concrete, citing specific risks like dehydration and extreme weather. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand your supporting points with more depth and perhaps a more nuanced perspective on why these specific locations are becoming popular. The position is clear throughout, but the overall development remains somewhat superficial.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use standard cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'Although, everyone wants to go there but unfortunately some people gets the chance'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences within paragraphs flow more naturally would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'extreme weather conditions', 'dehydration', and 'environmental regulations'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'virtues of going on these area' (should be 'areas') and 'exploring different placing' (should be 'places'). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. The range of vocabulary is sufficient for the task but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors that affect clarity, such as 'if some one have the passion to knowing' (should be 'has the passion for knowing') and 'some people gets the chance' (should be 'get the chance'). Subject-verb agreement and preposition usage are inconsistent. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they occur frequently enough to limit your score. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and verb forms will help improve your accuracy.
