Student answer (Band 6.0)

In today's rapidly evolving words, it issue of traveling has become a matter of considerable public interest. Some of the places are quiet safe but number of destinations became challenging for travelers. While these trips provide new experience and personal benefits, they also involve significant drawbacks.

One of the major benefit of visiting these places is new experience. This is because, some have great passion for traveling and they wants to enjoy their life away from overwhelmed crowded cities. Further, they try to do new adventures. For example, people were stressed with hectic schedule and they went to do solo trips to spend some time away from everyone. Consequently, these kind of trips build confidence, new skills and refresh them to get back to busy life.

On the other hand, sometimes these trips became challenging as people choose difficult conditions to travel. The main reason is that they are not familiar with the area and unaware about the difficulties. Another reason is that, when travelers do solo trips then there are no one available for their help if needed. For instance, network is not stable at many places and it cause serious concern.

In conclusion, although it is positive to do traveling, drawbacks will never ignored. I firmly believe that outdoor activities sharp the skills, boost the capability of individuals and provide a new lesson for the life. But it is important to get knowledge about the area at which traveler wants to travel. Ultimately, this help individuals to prepare themself to obstruct the challenge on the way.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting challenging locations. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention 'new experience' and 'confidence' as benefits, these points are not fully extended with specific, concrete examples. The disadvantages are also mentioned, but the explanation remains general. To achieve a higher band, you should provide more detailed illustrations or logical chains of reasoning. For example, instead of just stating that network is unstable, you could explain how this impacts safety in an emergency. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of analysis needs to be increased to fully satisfy the requirements of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand', 'For example', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the benefits of solo trips and the subsequent conclusion. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the relationship between ideas is more fluid and less reliant on simple, formulaic transitions.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some relevant topic-specific vocabulary like 'destinations', 'hectic', and 'challenging'. However, there are several instances of word choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'rapidly evolving words' (likely meant 'world') and 'obstruct the challenge' (which is not a standard collocation). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and there is a tendency to repeat basic words. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise, less common lexical items and ensure that collocations are used accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('they wants', 'these trips became', 'drawbacks will never ignored') and article usage errors ('the issue of traveling', 'a new lesson for the life'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors in sentence construction. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed with grammatical accuracy. Increasing the variety of your sentence structures will also help improve your score.
