Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is widely acknowledged that visiting famous tourist spots with some challenging environment become popular among people, especially the youngsters, which might have some serious consequences. However, I firmly believe that individuals should visit places such as desert, or oceans, but with proper safety measures and thorough knowledge of that particular location in advance.
There are numerous benefits related to visiting the places with harsh conditions.. Having new experience is the primary reason to explore these places, which is why individuals keen to visit the far flung areas. This experience is essential in life for learning various survival technics. These survival tricks can be used in future, if a person face a difficult situations in his life. Apart from survival technics, person who visit the desert might face: sand storms and other harsh weather conditions. These conditions not only make a person more strong, but also come to know the troubles, which the native of that place have to tackle and learn about the reality that how the natives of that particular place survive in these conditions. A prime illustration of this can be found in India, Rajisthan desert, where natural resources like water, is hardly available.
On the downside, tourist might suffer from health issues during their visit, as some places like Sahara desert, having strong winds everyday , which might cause breathing issues for visitors, especially for asthma patients. These health conditions might halt their visit, which is why individual should carry a medical kit for any sort of emergency, during their trip. Furthermore, if people search about the weather conditions before starting their trip, they can reduce the chances of any unexpected health issues and enjoy their visit without any issues.
To conclude, these kind of tourist attraction play a pivotal role in our community, which is why I firmly believe that people should visit these places but with proper safety measures. Therefore, thorough knowledge about the location and carrying a medical kit is essential to enjoy the dangerous trips.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting challenging environments. You have a clear position throughout, and the ideas are generally relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'survival technics' is mentioned but not fully explained in terms of how a tourist actually acquires these skills. Similarly, the discussion on health issues is a bit repetitive, focusing heavily on medical kits rather than exploring a wider range of potential disadvantages. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is supported by more detailed reasoning or specific, well-integrated examples rather than just listing them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Apart from,' 'Furthermore,' and 'To conclude,' which help guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is a bit disjointed, such as the transition between the benefits of survival skills and the mention of sandstorms. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'these conditions') is always precise will help improve the overall flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'pivotal role,' 'harsh conditions,' and 'thorough knowledge.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'survival technics' (should be 'techniques') and 'person who visit' (should be 'people who visit'). There is also some repetition of basic vocabulary. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic collocations and ensure that you are using the correct word forms. Expanding your range to include more sophisticated synonyms for common words will also help you achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'tourist might suffer,' 'conditions... having strong winds') and article usage (e.g., 'in India, Rajisthan desert'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary double periods and comma splices. While these errors do not generally impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on proofreading your work to catch these small but consistent errors, and practice using complex structures like relative clauses or conditional sentences more accurately.
