It is an undeniable fact that tourism industry has seen tremendous changes in the recent years. Nowadays, increasing number of tourists are making choice to visit some difficult places where conditions are very harsh like Sahara desert or the Antarctic. I shall provide the benefits along with the disadvantages of it in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, There are a plethora of benefits of visiting some hidden or less crowded places. Firstly, people can get a chance to have an interaction with the local communities and learn new things from them. For example, people follow different kinds of culture and traditions and they have their own way to live their life by knowing this individuals can apply into their life too. Secondly, people think they find the peace in such kind of places which are less crowded and they can enjoy their most of it. In addition people feel more connected with nature when they are in isolated places like Antarctic.
However, in few conditions people have to faces some problems such as they are not able to use their technical gadgets because of network issues and that is why it becomes hard for them to connect with their loved ones if they miss them. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting extreme locations. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention interacting with local communities and finding peace, these points are not fully extended with specific examples or deeper analysis. For instance, the mention of 'learning new things' is vague. Similarly, the disadvantages regarding technology and safety are relevant but could be explored with more depth to reach a higher band. The position is clear throughout, but the overall depth of the argument is more characteristic of a Band 6, as some points remain under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'However' to link your thoughts. While the structure is coherent, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the phrase 'by knowing this individuals can apply into their life too', which is slightly awkward and disrupts the logical flow. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the essay is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'plethora', 'isolated', and 'emergencies'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'making choice to visit' (should be 'choosing to visit'), 'loosing a life' (should be 'losing a life'), and 'get into trouble' (which is a bit informal). While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout, such as 'tourism industry has seen' (missing article 'the'), 'increasing number' (missing 'an'), and 'in few conditions' (should be 'in some conditions'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are some issues with sentence boundaries and capitalization (e.g., 'In addition people feel...'). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding. To achieve a higher score, you should aim for more error-free complex sentences and pay closer attention to articles and prepositions.
