Undoubtedly, the contemporary world has witnessed a significant rise in leisure activities. Therefore, people can be seen enjoying their free time with their loved ones, in which going for a long vacation coupled with hiking experience seems leading the way. However, challenging locations, for instance, Antarctica and Sahara desert are widely chosen by a growing number of adventurists nowadays. This essay will discuss the pros and cons of such practices for tourists.

Commencing with the most prominent reason, inhabitants sometimes go on these geographically challenged location for thrill. Therefore, even if internet can provide million of pictures of these sites, no one who does not have this experience earlier in the life can feel the real adventure unless they witness it by themselves. Furthermore, it provides an opportunity to ameliorate work stress and witness natural phenomenon, and facts about nature in real life. Hence, people feel elated and refreshed after vising certain geographic places.

Despite the fact these locations are amazing and provides non-shareable experience, visiting challenging forests and ice bergs are never cheap. Therefore, it limits the opportunity for civilians and eventually cannot be possible by everyone. Another worth considering fact, survival is ultimately challenging owing to the remote areas where providing aid in case of an emergency, but mobile signal reach is almost impossible. Last but not least, sometimes people often die in-case when trapped inside a trench or a dark forest.

In conclusion, obviously, experiencing natural phenomenon is ecstatic in someone's life which should be observed by everyone, provided that inhabitants should not risk their lives just for thrill.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting extreme locations. The ideas are relevant, such as the thrill of adventure and the high costs or safety risks involved. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'ameliorating work stress' is a good start but lacks specific elaboration. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and could have better summarised the main points. To reach a higher band, ensure that each argument is fully explored with more detailed explanations or concrete examples, rather than listing points briefly. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the argument is moderate.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Commencing with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion'. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced, such as 'Therefore' used at the start of sentences where it does not logically follow the previous thought. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as 'inhabitants' being used to refer to tourists, which is an inaccurate word choice. Improving the variety and naturalness of linking words would enhance the flow of the essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with some attempts at more sophisticated language like 'ameliorate', 'ecstatic', and 'contemporary'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors. For example, 'inhabitants' is used to mean 'tourists', 'geographically challenged location' is an awkward phrasing, and 'non-shareable experience' is not idiomatic. There are also minor errors in word formation, such as 'vising' instead of 'visiting'. While the meaning is clear, the range of vocabulary is limited by these inaccuracies, preventing a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as 'even if internet can provide' (missing article), 'no one who does not have this experience earlier in the life' (awkward phrasing), and 'cannot be possible by everyone' (incorrect collocation). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are issues with subject-verb agreement and preposition usage. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to indicate a lack of full control over complex structures.
