Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting challenging environments. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the benefit of 'mental relaxation' is mentioned, but the explanation is repetitive and lacks depth. Similarly, the disadvantages are touched upon, such as dehydration and natural disasters, but the examples provided are generic. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific, well-developed examples and ensure that your arguments are fully explored rather than just stated. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the response is consistent with a band 5.5 or 6.0 level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'On the other hand side', and 'To conclude it'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'On the other hand side' (which should be 'On the other hand'). Additionally, some sentences lack smooth transitions, making the flow feel a bit disjointed. Referencing is generally clear, but the progression of ideas could be more sophisticated to improve the overall coherence of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'low survival condition lands', 'realise them relax', and 'it’s seems commonly'. These errors occasionally impede the flow of the text. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the lack of flexibility and the presence of errors in collocation suggest a band 5.5 level. Focusing on more natural collocations and precise terminology would significantly improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'Man kind is being advanced and look for', 'people who are working... feel a lot of stress of their work on there mind', and 'people do stuck into some issues'. These errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement, prepositions, and verb tenses, are noticeable. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy.
