Student answer (Band 5.0)

There is no speak of ambiguity , travelling internationally has become a widely embraced to experience new culture. It is believed that travelers are more interested to staying at areas which have challenging living environment. I strongly contend that both aspects have there positive and negative impact , this essay will elucidate numerous result of this trend.

On the one hand, global travelling gives exposure of diverse culture and helps to understand the weather condition of various countries ,moreover, helps to learn how to survive in that conditions. For instance, people in India like to visit Rajasthan as there is lack of water and water resources despite it is one of best tourist place .

On the other hand, this trend has several drawbacks also that cannot be overlooked. Primary , travelling such places requires huge budget , because all goods and staying facilities are expensive there. Its also usually happen that tourist does not get the food they like, additionally most of people get sick due to climate change. For example, during fifa cup 2026 Norway team bring their own food from USA as they were not sure they can digest american food because of weather conditions.

To conclude,I firmly reckon that although travelling to tough climate environment places is expensive but such experience are lifelong which helps to understand weather and people living standard in that condition.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both the benefits and disadvantages of visiting challenging environments. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments. The ideas are somewhat superficial; for example, the example regarding the FIFA World Cup is confusing and lacks relevance to the topic of extreme environments. While the position is clear, the development of ideas is restricted by the brevity of the response. To improve, you should expand on your points with more logical, well-explained examples and ensure you meet the word count requirement to allow for full development of your arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, and there is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'To conclude'. However, the flow is often mechanical, and some transitions are awkward, such as 'Primary , travelling such places'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the logical progression between sentences is sometimes interrupted by grammatical errors. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother, more cohesive argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'widely embraced to experience' and 'there positive and negative impact' (should be 'their'). The use of 'elucidate numerous result' is also grammatically and lexically imprecise. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to travel and environmental challenges, and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling to avoid distracting errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('tourist does not get'), incorrect word forms ('travelling such places' instead of 'travelling to'), and punctuation errors, such as spaces before commas. The range of sentence structures is limited, and complex sentences are often attempted but contain errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions. Proofreading for common errors like 'there/their' and 'its/it's' will also significantly improve your score.
