Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 122 words. This significantly impacts the task achievement, as the prompt requires a full discussion of both benefits and disadvantages. The current response only begins to touch upon the benefits and fails to address the disadvantages entirely. Furthermore, the ideas presented are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence or examples. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words and provide a balanced discussion that covers all parts of the question, ensuring each point is fully extended with relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction and one paragraph, but the development is cut short. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To commence with' and 'To elaborate this', the overall structure is incomplete. The progression of ideas is hindered by the lack of a conclusion and the failure to develop the second half of the prompt. Paragraphing is present but insufficient due to the lack of content. To improve, ensure you have a clear introduction, at least two body paragraphs covering both sides of the argument, and a concluding summary.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'adventurous places' and 'positive point' are functional but lack the precision expected at higher bands. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'tdata' (likely a typo) and 'visited that type of places'. The range of vocabulary is limited, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas clearly. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to tourism, environmental impact, and extreme conditions, and focus on using more sophisticated synonyms for common words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writing contains several grammatical errors that affect the flow of the text. There are issues with punctuation, such as missing spaces after commas (e.g., 'desert , Individuals'), and subject-verb agreement errors like 'Individuals likes'. Sentence structures are generally simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence variety. Some phrases are awkward, such as 'even for the tourists also', which is redundant. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct subject-verb agreement, and practicing the use of complex structures like relative clauses and conditional sentences.
