Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the modern era, vising the places has boome incresingly common. While this development offers numerous benefits. it also presents certain drawbacks.

One of the primary advantages is that , people are get more data about that places and known the history about that place. In addition, visitor can explore the beautiful place that they dont seen in their entire life and it's best way to get fresh air and eperience to travel the world. For example, travelling tp sahara desert folk can feel the vast desert and the feel the environmrnt of these place and meet the nwe people also. Another illustrate is that Antactis is the most famous place in the world where people can enjoy to see glacier and penguin click the picure of that get memorirs and free their mind from all their strees where they boleng to.

Despite these benefits, there are notable demerit .One major drawback is that the harsh weather can risk the significant trourists, including extereme temprature, dehydration and the accidents. And also in remote area we cant find the medincal treatment easily.Furthermore, if tourists not follow the regulation so it directly effect to the place. for instance, they throe the garbage anywhere, contain smoking and alcoholic product it direcyly effect to the environment .However , in the bad wherther if visitors goes these palces it will very harmful for them because we can not trust the nature bad thing happened anywhere and everytime especially in rainy days.

In conclusion although traveling these places has several merits and the negative side. But i believe that there are more disadvange than advantage while vising this place where condition are serious because its very dangerous to go in a bad weather no doubt its a famous place to travel but we have to see the condition first and than travel that such places.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying several benefits (learning history, experiencing natural wonders, refreshing the mind) and disadvantages (harsh weather, risk of accidents, lack of medical treatment, environmental damage) of visiting extreme locations. The position is generally clear throughout, concluding that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, particularly in the discussion of bad weather and environmental impacts. Examples like the Sahara desert and Antarctica are mentioned, but they are generalized rather than deeply explored. This performance aligns best with Band 6, where all parts are addressed and relevant ideas are presented, but some areas lack sufficient extension and depth.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is divided into logical paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to signal transitions, such as 'One of the primary advantages', 'In addition', and 'Despite these benefits'. However, paragraphing and referencing sometimes feel mechanical or awkward, and cohesion within paragraphs is occasionally faulty, as seen with abrupt shifts and punctuation issues (e.g., 'Another illustrate is that Antactis is the most famous place...'). Progression is generally evident, but the lack of smooth transitions between sentences prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Overall, the organizational structure is coherent enough to merit a Band 6.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for discussing tourism and the environment, including terms like 'dehydration', 'regulation', and 'environment'. However, there are frequent spelling errors ('vising' for visiting, 'boome' for become, 'incresingly', 'Antactis', 'temprature', 'throe') and occasional word-form or collocation inaccuracies (e.g., 'risk the significant trourists', 'contain smoking'). These errors do not completely impede communication, but they distract the reader and restrict the lexical score. Because the vocabulary is adequate for the task but marred by persistent mechanical and spelling flaws, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay features a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, attempting conditional and subordinate clauses (e.g., 'While this development offers numerous benefits...', 'if tourists not follow the regulation...'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout the text, featuring frequent errors in verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and article usage (e.g., 'people are get more data', 'visitor can explore', 'tourists not follow', 'weather if visitors goes'). Punctuation is also problematic, with missing spaces and comma splices. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high density of errors places this firmly in the Band 5 category, where complex structures are frequently faulty and errors cause some difficulty for the reader.
