Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is true that nowadays people become more travel freek person that is why they want to visit those places where temperatures and oxygen are difficult. Although this development has some benefits, i believe that it is negative approach for people.

On the one hand, there are several reasons why this phenomenon brings some merits for tourists. First and the foremost, when people visit untouched area, they get an opportunities to explore new area and culture which helps them to become not only extrovert but also gain their experience and knowledge that helps them in the upcoming life. In addition to it, it brings job opportunities for people in turn of which they can easily meed their fundamental needs and they can live quality of life as a resuly, they have less stress and anxiety.

On the other hand, i think that some demerits are associated with this trend. Firstly, if people go those places where condition are difficult, it put adverse influence on their health because, it can decrease their oxygen and tempreature in their bodies as a consequence they can lose their life. Along with this, people not only waste their money but also time to visit in dangerous places because when people go there those places they need to brings number of equipments such as safety nets and maps.

To conclude, while this trend has some advantage to go different places, according to my perspective, weather and wastage of money and time are main root of this development.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the benefits and disadvantages of tourists visiting difficult locations like the Sahara desert or the Antarctic. The writer maintains a clear position throughout, stating in the introduction that it is a negative approach for people. Key ideas are presented, such as exploring new cultures and gaining job opportunities on the positive side, and health risks and financial waste on the negative side. However, some ideas remain slightly under-developed and are expressed in a somewhat generalised manner. For example, the mention of tourists needing equipment like safety nets is somewhat naive. Overall, the response fulfills the requirements of Band 6 by addressing all parts of the task with relevant, if sometimes limited, ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay has a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical four-paragraph structure with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. Transitional markers such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude' are used to structure the text, although some cohesive devices are mechanical or repetitive ('In addition to it', 'Along with this'). Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points. However, referencing is occasionally imprecise, and the progression of ideas is sometimes interrupted by awkward phrasing and run-on sentences. These features place the response firmly in Band 6, where cohesion is sometimes faulty and referencing is not always clear.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'phenomenon', 'fundamental needs', and 'adverse influence'. However, there are numerous lexical and spelling errors that detract from the writing, including 'travel freek', 'meed' (meet), 'as a resuly', 'tempreature', and 'equipments' (a non-count noun). While these inaccuracies do not completely impede communication, they demonstrate inconsistent control over word choice and collocation, which is characteristic of a Band 5 performance. The student would benefit greatly from expanding their vocabulary and checking spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating subordinating conjunctions such as 'although', 'when', and 'because'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in punctuation, capitalization ('i' instead of 'I'), articles, and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people become more travel freek person', 'temperatures and oxygen are difficult', 'weather and wastage of money and time are main root'). Many complex sentences are flawed and contain multiple clauses that run together without proper punctuation, making it occasionally difficult for the reader to follow the exact meaning. These persistent errors restrict the score to Band 5.
