Student answer (Band 5.5)

The world has become a global village. It is easy to go anywhere and in any corner of world. It is irrefutable that the rate of tourism has been profilerating day by day specially for places, where conditions are unstable for people. I will articulate the merits and demerits of visiting to such places in the upcocming paragraphs.

The first and foremost benefit of why human-beings like visit places like Sahara desert or the Antarctic is relief from stressfull life. Most of people are living a stressfull life, and want to get rid of unpleasent daily schedule, as well as they try to do something different. Due to this, people explore more nature, and animals by going to difficult places. Secondily, humans feel more attched with nature and animals by living for some days. For example, A survey revealed that 95 % People who live more at difficult places they are more intelligent, and have self surviving skills.

Paradoxically, pollution is the first disadvantange which increases, when the numerous people go to natural places, and leave their waste behind. It not only effect nature but also forest and sea life also effects from plastic. Also, humans disturbs forest live, and ocean creatures by making videos, and taking pictures of animals. For example, Discovery channel is the greatest example that how they disturbing animals, birds, and sea creature. Therefore, the visit to places, where condition are difficult has opposite side as well.

To conclude, Although there are some advantages like humans get relief from stress but there are problems which are created by people and cannot be neglected.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that difficult destinations can offer relief from stress but also create environmental problems. The benefits paragraph includes relevant points about experiencing nature and developing survival skills, while the disadvantages paragraph discusses waste and disturbance to wildlife. However, these ideas are only partly developed: the claim that visitors become more intelligent is not clearly explained, and the Discovery Channel example does not directly show how ordinary tourists cause harm. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and risks specifically for tourists—for example, adventure and learning versus danger, discomfort, or limited access to help—and support each point with a more directly relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “The first and foremost benefit,” “Paradoxically,” and “To conclude” helps readers follow the main stages. However, some connections are mechanical, and the progression within paragraphs is not always smooth. For instance, the move from stress relief to intelligence and survival skills needs a clearer explanation of how these ideas relate. The sentence about pollution also shifts from waste to effects on wildlife without fully linking the points. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each supporting example explicitly to the claim it illustrates.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “stress,” “nature,” “pollution,” “plastic,” and “creatures,” and phrases such as “get rid of” help communicate your meaning. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make the writing less precise, such as “profilerating,” “unpleasent,” “attched,” and “self surviving skills.” Some expressions are also unnatural, including “visiting to such places” and “forest live.” Aim to learn accurate word partnerships and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “remote destinations,” “wildlife,” “physical risks,” and “environmental impact” would help you explain the topic clearly without relying on repeated general words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including clauses with “when,” “although,” and “by.” This gives the response some variety, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “Most of people are living,” “humans disturbs,” and “it not only effect nature but also forest and sea life also effects.” The final sentence beginning “Although” is also incomplete as a contrast structure. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached supporting clause, and check subject–verb agreement and article use before adding more complexity.
