Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question and give relevant examples, including observing desert plants and Antarctic marine life, as well as risks from water scarcity, harsh temperatures and limited food. However, the benefits are not always explained clearly: the discussion of social-media photographs and gaining fame is less directly connected to what tourists gain from visiting. Some claims also need more precise support, such as the report about deaths in the Sahara. The conclusion restates the contrast but does not clearly summarise the main benefits and disadvantages. Develop each point by explaining its effect on tourists and use examples that are clearly linked to the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the overall contrast. You also use signposts such as “Additionally,” “Nevertheless” and “Furthermore.” However, some transitions sound mechanical or do not express the relationship accurately, as in “Parallely,” and “To the nutshell” makes the conclusion difficult to enter smoothly. Within paragraphs, ideas sometimes jump from wildlife observation to photography and social-media fame without a clear explanation of how they connect. Use simpler, accurate linking phrases and organise each body paragraph around one main idea, followed by its explanation or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related and less common vocabulary, including “ecosystem,” “water scarcity,” “jeopardy” and “catastrophic.” This shows an effort to express ideas beyond basic terms. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and sometimes make the meaning unclear, such as “Travelling is a boon for economic civilisation,” “rare inhabitants,” and “imperative impression.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “enlights,” “adeqaute” and “expereince,” also reduce precision. Aim for clear, natural collocations rather than formal-sounding phrases: for example, describe “rare wildlife” and say that a visit “offers a memorable experience.” Proofread spelling and check unfamiliar words in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both short statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “which” and “since.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure and verb forms can make some points difficult to understand. For example, “it's strange that they willing to travel” needs a verb (“are willing”), while “would only possible to see live” is missing a verb structure. The sentence beginning “For instance, Unique plantation…” is also incomplete, and “Although it gives…” is a fragment in the conclusion. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, agreement and punctuation when joining clauses.
