Student answer (Band 5.5)
Tourism has played a vital role in promoting the country's economy as well as its reputation since day one. Although,it has two sides the pros and the cons.
However, looking forwards for the pros the first that strikes the mind is economy growth as tourism boosts the growth of the economy by attracting tourist's money. Also, People goes to places like the Sahara desert which is well known for unique experience apart from all other tourist places, Sahara desert is a wholly different experience people love to enjoy.
Moreover, tourism boosts the development of places like Antarctic and the Sahara desert as making of new of stay hotels, travell companies, rental companies as well as sports activities that people do are one of the most common example of the developmental structure that can be seen and the reason is only the visit of more and more tourists there.Additionally, more and more employement opportunities are being created within development.
But, on the other hand looking for the cons of the tourist's visiting these places are like over crowdness, depletion of nature's beauty as well as worsen weather conditions. However, the weather conditions there are seems to be worst most of the time for example unrecognised thunderstorms, windstorms and so on and hence, it can lead to higher risks in stays there.Secondly, as mentioned in pros the high visit of tourists causing more and more industrialisation in there areas like hotels, comapines which is the raising concern that these things are damaging the nature' original beauty as these building are made by cutting the desserts and the ares in these places.
Nevertheless, not only stay costs but the food, the water as well as the transportation costs are way too high in these areas because there are the attraction for the tourist's but this is causing trouble for the locals there.
At the end, putting last nail with the hammer we can say that if there's a an advantage for a thing disadvantage comes along with it. Hence, people should be aware about these advantages as well as disadvantages and some of the protective steps sould be taken by the people as well as by the government of the countries to protect the Nature as well as tourism.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses both benefits and disadvantages, and its overall position—that tourism brings economic gains but also environmental and practical costs—is apparent. Relevant benefits include income, new businesses and employment, while the disadvantages include damage to natural landscapes, hazardous weather and high costs. However, several points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that tourism creates jobs is not supported with a specific illustration, and the effects on local residents are mentioned only briefly. Some details are also unclear, such as how tourism worsens weather conditions. Develop each main point with a clear cause-and-effect explanation or a relevant example, and make the conclusion more directly summarise the balance of benefits and drawbacks.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an opening, a discussion of benefits, a contrasting discussion of disadvantages and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps distinguish the two sides, and signposts such as “Moreover” and “on the other hand” show the intended relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are crowded into long sentences, and transitions can feel mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, “However” begins the benefits paragraph without a clear contrast, while the final paragraph introduces local costs without linking them clearly to the earlier discussion. Use fewer, more precise linking phrases and organise each paragraph around one main idea, followed by explanation and an example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response attempts topic-related vocabulary, including “economic growth,” “employment opportunities,” “industrialisation” and “depletion of nature’s beauty.” These choices show some range beyond basic everyday language. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear: “over crowdness,” “developmental structure” and “putting last nail with the hammer” are not natural expressions in this context. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, such as “employement,” “comapines” and “desserts” where “deserts” is intended. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than elaborate wording, and check spelling carefully. For example, describe “pressure on fragile environments” instead of “depletion of nature’s beauty.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay attempts both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “although,” “as” and “because.” This gives some variety, but complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “Although,it has two sides,” “People goes to places,” and “the weather conditions there are seems to be worst.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable, particularly where several clauses are joined with commas, as in the sentence beginning “Moreover, tourism boosts the development.” Work on subject–verb agreement, verb forms and complete sentence structure. Breaking long sentences into shorter units will help you express the ideas more accurately while retaining some complex sentences.
