Student answer (Band 6.0)
People often seen trying new places to visit where conditions are very dangerous such as the Sahara deser or the Antartic. The main reason I beleive is they wanted to go out their comfort zone. I consider it has equally pros and cons.
Firstly, It is trendy nowadays for every individual to try visit some places where it is hard to survive. To elaborate, they wanted to indulge in more adventurous thing which can provide them more exictment than usual. For example, A person visiting local city mountain which will not give them that much spike as they go to mount-everst. Moreover, exploring places where the surving is difficult will build them more strong mentally and physically. To elaborate, living in high temperature or low temperature weathers made their brain and body able to survive in extreme conditions.
On the other hand, going to a new place where the living conditions are harsh can bring an unexpected problems. In other words, an sudden weather change or land slide will risk their lives. In last year, two of the young individual lost their there life in land slide in America. Futhermore, most of the times the medical aid is not available because the location are very far away from towns.
In conclusion, Exploring new places would be very greatful experience but consider all the precuations before leaving.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that visiting extreme places has advantages and disadvantages. The benefits are relevant: adventure and excitement, as well as developing mental and physical resilience. You also identify genuine risks, including landslides, sudden weather changes and limited access to medical help. However, several points are asserted rather than explained: the comparison with a local mountain and Mount Everest is unclear, and the example of two deaths lacks enough context to show how it supports your point. The conclusion is brief and does not summarise the main benefits and risks. The response is also 24 words below the required minimum. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation or specific example to address the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages and a conclusion. The contrastive transition “On the other hand” helps signal the shift between the two sides, while “Firstly” and “Moreover” make the benefits paragraph easy to follow. This coherent structure meets the lower-band expectations and shows some effective progression. However, links are occasionally mechanical, particularly the repeated “To elaborate” and “In other words,” and the relationship between the local mountain and Mount Everest example is not clear. Some references, such as “they” in the introduction, have no precise antecedent. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each example explicitly to the point it illustrates.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “comfort zone,” “adventurous,” “extreme conditions,” “medical aid” and “harsh.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “sudden weather change” and “land slide.” However, the range is limited in places, and noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the reader pause: “deser,” “Antartic,” “beleive,” “exictment” and “surving.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “spike” for the excitement of climbing and “build them more strong.” Check spelling carefully and learn natural collocations for describing adventure, physical challenges and environmental hazards. More precise vocabulary would make your explanations clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause (“because the location are very far away from towns”) and a conditional-style description of how extreme weather affects people. The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammar occur often enough to affect clarity. For example, “People often seen trying” is missing an appropriate verb form, “they wanted” does not fit smoothly with the present-time generalisation, and “an sudden weather change” has an article error. There are also agreement and number problems in “the location are” and “two of the young individual lost their there life.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and plural forms, and check that each sentence has a complete, consistent structure.
