Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern world, majority of people are choosing to travell in harsh weather condition like Sahara desert and the Antarctic. While this trend offers certain advantages in terms of pleasent experience and entertainment, it also bring notable drawbacks that should not be overlooked.

One of the main advantage of visiting a place where we have to deal with challanges , in perticular weather condition is entertainment. For example, some people are very curious to know about different-different region condition and experience the atmosphere instead of daily routine as well as they would loke to dor thrill activity like sketting on ice and riding on animal. Furthermore, few people have interest in culture of that place where they click photographs and make video and they can upload on social media.

However, Despite these benefits, there are also certain disadvantages. A significant drawback is the health problems which people mostly facing in hard condition. When we change our atmosphere then our body need some time to set in another environment because of variation in temperature. For instance, some people can affect by thunderstrom. Moreover, in harsh weather condition you may be not get proper accomodation. Therefore, people might be can feel unsecure and strangers can steal any costly items.

In conclusion, majority of people like to travell in hot and cold places to get joyful moments of life but they could be affected by wheather conditions. In my opinion, with proper guid you have to travell that kin of place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both benefits and disadvantages, and your position is visible: difficult destinations can provide enjoyable experiences but also expose visitors to risks. The examples of trying activities and taking photographs relate to the benefits, while health problems and accommodation concerns address disadvantages. However, the ideas remain limited and are not developed clearly enough. For example, “entertainment” is supported by a list of activities, but you do not explain why these experiences are valuable or distinctive. The health point is also vague, and the thunderstorm example does not clearly show a specific risk. Your conclusion offers only general advice. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation and a relevant, specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. The contrast marker “However” helps signal the shift between the two sides, while “For example,” “Furthermore,” and “Therefore” make relationships between points visible. This clear paragraph structure supports the reader. To make the progression more effective, ensure that each sentence develops the paragraph’s central idea rather than introducing loosely connected details. For instance, the discussion moves from health problems to accommodation and then theft without explaining how these concerns relate. Some linking is also mechanical, and “However, Despite these benefits” combines two contrast signals unnecessarily. Use transitions selectively and make references between ideas more explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “harsh weather condition,” “temperature,” “accommodation,” and “social media,” so the main meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “thrill activity.” However, the vocabulary range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to interpret. Examples include “travell,” “pleasent,” “challanges,” “different-different region condition,” and “thunderstrom.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “set in another environment” and “feel unsecure.” Build a more accurate set of expressions for describing extreme environments, risks, and visitor experiences, and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in the introduction (“While this trend offers…”) and a conditional structure (“When we change our atmosphere…”). However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction and basic grammar occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “it also bring notable drawbacks” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “some people can affect by thunderstrom” lacks the correct passive form. In “our body need some time,” the subject and verb do not agree, and “people might be can feel” combines incompatible modal forms. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and modal and passive constructions, then proofread each sentence for a complete, correctly formed clause.
