Tourism is not only a hobby but also a job too. Nowadays a large number of tourists are going to challenging places like Sahara desert or Antarctic despite of very harsh conditions. This essay will illustrate the pros and cons which a tourist had to face during visit of these places.

On the one hand, visiting such places is not an easy task. Nevertheless the person who get succeeded to complete such expeditions become famous in the world. Newspapers publish his interviews and write column about his journey. He is invited as a chief guest to talk shows. Government also offers award to such person and his name is written in history books as hero. Additionally, they get chance to explore extraordinary things and informations about the flora and fanna of the world.

Conversely, It has many disadvantages too. Sometimes tourists had to face extreme weather conditions which become a great chellenge for them. It is very dengerous for their lives too. If they visited some desert they had to face extreme drought, food deficiency, high temperature and threat of wild animals. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses both sides of the question and gives relevant examples of benefits and risks. The benefits paragraph explains that successful expeditions may bring recognition, media attention and opportunities to learn about flora and fauna; the disadvantages paragraph identifies exposure to drought, heat, food shortages, wildlife and severe mountain weather. These points make the answer relevant, but some are not fully developed: for example, the educational benefit is mentioned without explaining what tourists might learn, and the risks are listed more than explored. The opening also refers to tourism as a hobby and a job, which is not clearly connected to the question. Develop fewer points with clearer explanations of how they affect tourists.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and disadvantages, and a conclusion. The contrast between the main sections is easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “Conversely,” and “To conclude” help the reader understand the progression. This coherent structure is a strength. However, some linking is mechanical, and the ideas within paragraphs are often presented as a sequence of claims or lists rather than being connected through explanation. For instance, the recognition examples move from newspapers to talk shows and government awards without showing how these outcomes relate to the tourist’s experience. Use more varied transitions and develop links between each main point and its supporting detail.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The response uses a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “expeditions,” “extreme weather conditions,” “food deficiency,” and “wild animals,” so the main ideas are generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “flora and fauna.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the writing less natural: “a tourist had to face,” “write column,” “dengerous,” and “svere condition” are examples. Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “extraordinary things.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for the effects of harsh environments would help express the ideas with greater control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The essay includes both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including the conditional “If they visited some desert…” and the concluding conditional “If someone go on such expedition…”. Meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. These include subject–verb agreement (“the person who get succeeded”), tense consistency (“If they visited… they had to face”), articles and plurals (“a tourist,” “such person”), and sentence punctuation, as in the capitalised “It” after “Conversely,”. The final sentence also has an unclear subject and verb agreement. Practise forming accurate conditional sentences and checking agreement, articles and punctuation; this will make the range of structures more reliable.
