Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years, people are having more interest to visit such places where conditions are not good, for example Sahara desert or the Antarctic. Although this trend has several advantages, it also has some disadvantages which I will elaborate in the upcoming paragraphs.

One of the main advantages of visiting this kind of harsh places is that getting experince. This is because people think, they are living only a one life and never come back after death and live this life, so having an every experience in the life is not less than an opportunity. Another significant benefit of this is that know more about the people who live there and making videos on them and share on social media platforms. This is largely because they want to share the life of this kind of places and people know more about them regarding their lifestyle. For example, one of the famous youtuber his name is sourav joshi, he visits regularly in difficult places where weather is not good and make a videos on their lifestyle and share on social media and getting more likes and comments and become more famous because he shares the lifestyle of such harsh places.

Despite these benefits, there are also some drawbacks of going to difficult tourist places is that not getting proper meal. People who visit Sahara desert sometimes they do not get healthy food and because of this they become sick. For instance, a American guy his name is casey visiting a Sahara desert, he is a famous influcer who was died because of some health issues he had when he visited to sahara desert. Not getting proper meal in that places may result could be harsh. Therefore, people who visit this places having an several issue in their body because they never used to for this weather.

In conclusion, Nowadays people are choosing tourist places where conditions are difficult such as Sahara desert or the Antarctica. These places are good only for those people who have the skills to survive in harsh places without any life support, but not good for those who has several health issues.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question by giving benefits—personal experience and sharing knowledge of local lifestyles—and disadvantages, especially illness linked to food and harsh conditions. The examples make your points more concrete. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the claim that people want to experience life is broad, and the social-media example focuses heavily on one YouTuber’s popularity rather than explaining the wider benefit to tourists. The disadvantage section also centres on food and health, with little consideration of other risks such as extreme weather, isolation or limited medical help. Your conclusion gives a clear general view, but it introduces survival skills and health conditions without fully resolving the balance of benefits and drawbacks. Explain each main idea more directly and support it with relevant detail.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, one on disadvantages and a conclusion. Signposting such as “One of the main advantages,” “Despite these benefits” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad structure. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes weakened by long, crowded sentences and unclear references. For example, the sentence about the YouTuber combines his visits, videos, social-media response and fame without clearly separating the point from its example. Phrases such as “this kind of places” also make it less clear what “this” refers to. Use shorter sentences to distinguish each reason from its supporting example, and make references explicit. This would make the existing organisation more consistently easy to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “harsh places,” “lifestyle,” “social media platforms” and “health issues,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “difficult places,” “not good” and “harsh places.” There are also noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems, such as “getting experince,” “a famous youtuber” and “a famous influcer.” Some expressions, including “not getting proper meal,” are awkward and make the meaning less precise. Build a wider set of accurate terms for travel risks and benefits, and check spelling and natural word combinations. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the ideas without relying on repeated general phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrastive opening with “Although” and a cause-and-effect explanation beginning “This is because.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “people think, they are living only a one life,” “one of the famous youtuber his name is…” and “people who visit this places having an several issue.” These show problems with clause construction, verb forms, agreement, articles and plurals. Tense and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “he visits regularly… and make a videos.” Such errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles and verb forms.
