Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people love to explore new places. The trend of tourism is getting increasing day by day. It is actually a hobby for many people. Some people do this to for entertainment ,others are adventurous. Nowadays, a lot of tourists are visiting places where conditions are difficult like Sahara or the Antarctic.
There are some benefits for tourists who visit such places. They became famous and remain in the minds of people even after their death. They got courage to achieve more adventurous tasks after achieving one. They even learn to survive in intense weather. Tourists actually gain a lot of knowledge regarding different cultures which is really wonderful.
There are a lot of disadvantages tourists can face as well. They put their life in danger while visiting such places. Sometimes, they do not follow precautionary measurements or forget to follow, will make them suffer a lot. Tourists do not know about the people living at new places, they can harm them for visiting in their teritory. Lack of maps can lead them to other places, that can create even worst condition for them.
According to me, nothing is impossible. Tourism is very intresting and entertaining. But you need to have proper plan. You should havre prior knowledge about the place you are visiting. That would be helpful for long term. Basic knowledge about people, weather, culture, food, clothes etc., A woman just made a world record by jumping from the iceberg. She took 4 years to practice. Moreover, there were a team to rescue her while she was attempting the task. So, you have to take precautions while visiting new places or doing anything.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that visiting remote places can be worthwhile if tourists prepare properly. Relevant benefits include gaining survival skills and learning about different cultures, while the risks include danger, inadequate precautions and getting lost. However, some points are unclear or only briefly explained: for example, becoming famous after death is not clearly linked to a benefit for tourists, and the possible harm to local people needs a more specific explanation. The iceberg record example supports the value of preparation, but its connection to the general advantages and disadvantages could be made more explicit. Develop each main idea with a clear explanation or example to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction is followed by separate paragraphs on benefits and disadvantages, then a concluding opinion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. You also use basic linking expressions such as “Nowadays,” “There are some benefits,” “as well,” and “Moreover.” At times, however, connections between ideas are abrupt or unclear. The shift from learning about cultures to becoming famous is not signposted, and the final example about the woman jumping from an iceberg appears suddenly. Some references, such as “they” and “that,” could be clearer about which tourists or situation they refer to. Use more precise links and explain how examples support the point in the paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough vocabulary to discuss the topic, including relevant terms such as “survive,” “intense weather,” “precautions,” “cultures,” and “rescue.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “world record” and “prior knowledge.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “the trend of tourism is getting increasing,” “precautionary measurements,” and “create even worst condition” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Spelling errors such as “intresting,” “teritory,” and “havre” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural topic collocations and check spelling and word forms during revision; this will help you express relevant ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate the main ideas using a mixture of short statements and some longer structures, including “Sometimes, they do not follow precautionary measurements or forget to follow, will make them suffer a lot.” However, this sentence shows a faulty connection between clauses, and several other sentences have problems with verb forms, agreement or sentence completeness. For example, “They became famous” and “They got courage” use past forms where the surrounding discussion is in the present, while “there were a team” has a subject–verb agreement error. “Basic knowledge about people, weather, culture, food, clothes etc.” is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check tense consistency, agreement and complete clauses.
