Student answer (Band 6.5)
Visiting places that faces sever conditions, interest more and more people lately. On one hand, there are some benefits for such experience but also we shouldn't ignore that it could bring some disadvantages.
Traveling to such ereas like the two polers or the Sahara desert can be an interesting idea for many of us, and several reasons can encourage someone to try this experience. Firstly, it may be for enviromental purposes to go and witness the climat condition and the nature diversity, which can be unique for the ones who care about biological world. In addition, some tourists who visited many countries, they will be searching for places not easy to get or doesn't catch the attention for the regular tourists, and they find in this ereas a sort of distinction. Plus it will be somehow important for people who like culture and history, that they are visiting places only watched in a docmentary or an article online. Another point is the tourists who are looking for adventures in isolated locations away from any civilisation might want to go there.
Certainly, there are many reasons that can make someone choose to visit such destinations, but it comes with a heavy bill. Beginnig with the costs of this trips, that usually far expensive than a touristic country, because thay have to pay extra fees for insurrance, special equipements and also professional guides for the period of the journey. Not just that, these kind of places demand a physical force and sometimes a training before coming, which cannot be done by people who suffers injuries or not ready for such a programmes. We also can add that these destinations often isolated and few people live in, so it will be less interations with locals and many activities won't be available.
To sum up, these kind of places are surely unique, and worth to see and explore such diversity of our planet, but it demands financial ressources and strong physical conditions which can be difficult for some tourists.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both sides of the question and maintain a clear overall view: these destinations offer distinctive experiences but involve substantial demands. Benefits include observing nature and climate, seeking unusual destinations, engaging with history, and pursuing adventure; disadvantages include expense, physical demands, and limited contact or activities. This covers the task well, and the examples are relevant. However, some points are listed rather than fully explained. For instance, the environmental benefit of witnessing climate conditions is mentioned, but you could explain what tourists learn or how this experience benefits them. The cultural and historical point is also broad. To strengthen the response further, develop fewer ideas with a specific example and explain their significance.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response has a clear overall progression: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a concluding summary. Signposting such as “Firstly,” “In addition,” “Another point,” and “To sum up” helps readers follow the argument, and the contrast between the two main sides is easy to recognise. Some linking is a little mechanical, particularly the repeated additive transitions, and a few sentences contain several ideas joined together, making the progression less smooth. For example, the benefits paragraph moves quickly from environmental interest to distinction, culture, and adventure. Grouping related points and using clearer references between sentences would make the cohesion more flexible and the paragraph development more controlled.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “isolated locations,” “biological world,” “professional guides,” and “physical conditions.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, several spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural collocations reduce accuracy, such as “sever conditions,” “nature diversity,” “heavy bill,” and “physical force.” There are also repeated general terms such as “places” and “destinations,” where more precise wording could add variety. Aim to check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships, for example, “harsh conditions” and “physical fitness.” More precise vocabulary would make your points clearer without requiring more complicated language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which,” “because,” and “who,” and the overall meaning is generally clear. Some grammatical errors remain, however, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “places that faces” should use a plural verb, while “these kind of places” needs a plural demonstrative or a singular noun. The sentence beginning “Firstly, it may be for environmental purposes…” is difficult to control because several ideas are packed into one structure. There are also incomplete or awkward constructions, such as “Beginning with the costs of this trips.” Review agreement and article use, and divide long sentences into complete, clearly structured units.
