Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my suggestions to your company for partial investing your money on both sponsoring a local team and organize a concert after requesting feedbacks from local residents.
Most importantly, it is significant to provide financial assiantance to local team players for purchasing their sports gears. Since the equipments are expensive and everyone cannot afford it. it would be great if you sponsored them. As your this effort can encourage young generation to participate in the games.
Alternatively, if you organize a community event then it would not only entertain the individuals but also offer an opportunity to promote their businesses and generating their revenue on events. Therefore, your this step will generate the source of incomes.
Eventually, You may divide your funds so that you can uilize for both purposes. As both have equally important and benficial for our socity.
i would appreciate that you think about my city and do efforts to grow it.
Yours faithfully,
Sabeer

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points and give a clear recommendation: “divide your funds” between the team and concerts. The sports-team benefit is relevant and reasonably specific, explaining that funding could help players buy equipment and encourage young people to participate. You also identify entertainment and business-promotion benefits from concerts. However, the concert benefits are less fully explained, and the recommendation to split the money is not supported with reasons for why this is preferable to choosing one option. The opening also says you are suggesting “partial investing” in both, which makes your position clear, but the letter could more directly explain the value the company would gain from each choice. Develop the comparison and support your final recommendation with a specific reason.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a clear overall sequence: it introduces the purpose, discusses the sports team, considers concerts, and then gives a recommendation. Paragraphing helps distinguish these points, and transitions such as “Alternatively” and “Eventually” guide the reader through the response. Some connections are less clear or feel mechanical, however. For example, “Since the equipments are expensive and everyone cannot afford it. it would be great if you sponsored them” is separated in a way that interrupts the flow, while “As both have equally important…” is an incomplete explanation of the preceding recommendation. References such as “your this effort” are also awkward and make the links between ideas less smooth. Use complete sentences and clearer links between each benefit and your final decision.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “financial assistance,” “participate,” “entertain,” “promote their businesses,” and “generate their revenue.” These choices communicate the main ideas and show attempts to discuss community benefits beyond simply describing the events. However, several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors reduce precision: “partial investing” is unnatural, “sports gears” is not the usual expression, and “source of incomes” is awkward. There are also misspellings such as “assiantance,” “uilize,” “benficial,” and “socity.” Some expressions, including “your this step,” sound unnatural in a formal letter. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully; this will make your vocabulary more precise and professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex structures, including “if you organize a community event then it would not only… but also…” and “so that you can…” This gives the letter some variety, and the intended meaning is generally understandable. Some grammatical and punctuation errors remain. “Since the equipments are expensive and everyone cannot afford it” is a sentence fragment, and the following lowercase “it” after a full stop is incorrectly punctuated. In “As both have equally important,” the structure is incomplete; a form such as “Both options are equally important” would be grammatical. There are also issues with agreement and sentence construction in “promote their businesses and generating their revenue.” Review complete sentence formation, parallel structures, and capitalization after full stops while continuing to use complex sentences.
