Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter to express my opinion on funds which would be spend on sports team or concert. In my perspective, these are equally crucial for society and person as well.

Sports play a huge role in person's life, who are sports enthusiast. Spending money on such things like, ground, sports equipment, refreshment will useful in sports industry. In this contemporary era, sports are globally renowned and this contribution benefits to the disadvantaged people, who wants to play for country but does not have enough penny.

On the other hand, paying for musical concerts are significant for population who are fond of music. Music plays pivotal role in breaking the monotony of life. It is great way to unwind ourselves and recharge our battery after a long day. Funding in such concert will help the masses who wants to show their talent in world.

From my perspective, both have great impact on our life as company should spend their funds equally in both aspect. Moreover, encourage people to get some privillage to have such industry like this.

I hope you consider my opinion as useful.

Yours faithfully,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all three bullet points of the task. You describe the benefits of the sports team and the concerts, and you provide a clear recommendation to split the funds. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of how sports benefit disadvantaged people is a bit vague, and the suggestion to spend money 'equally' is a simple solution that lacks depth. To improve, try to provide more specific examples or elaborate on the long-term impact of these investments on the local community to better meet the requirements for a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific part of the prompt. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand' and 'Moreover' to transition between ideas. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing, such as 'In my perspective' (which should be 'From my perspective') and some mechanical transitions. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother and more natural.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary era', 'monotony', and 'pivotal'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'funds which would be spend' (should be 'spent'), 'does not have enough penny' (should be 'cannot afford it' or 'lacks the financial means'), and 'privillage' (spelling error). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the score. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise collocations will help improve your lexical range and accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('sports are globally renowned and this contribution benefits', 'company should spend their funds'), missing articles ('on sports team', 'in such concert'), and incorrect verb forms ('who wants to show'). While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to keep the score in the 6.0 range. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
