Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear Sir,
At first, thank you for your thought for sponsorship.
I would like to take your attention on the local childer's sports team. As you know this days outdoor sports in very rarerly played. This way of creating an sports team will encourage the youth genaration to delvelop there inner thoughts on the sports & also there health. They will be more local interested in participating in differnt types of sports and with this support in future the team would represent your company and play in other different localities. Where this will support your company and its name.
The Open-air concerts would have benefit with the locality and this would support the company name.
As conclution, i would support your investment to be concerned with creating the sports team which would later be an possitive factor for your company.
With best regards,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three bullet points, providing benefits for both the sports team and the concerts, and clearly stating a preference. However, the response is slightly under the 150-word minimum, which limits the depth of development. The ideas regarding the sports team are more developed than those for the concerts, which are mentioned only briefly. To improve, you should aim to expand on the benefits of the concerts with more specific details to ensure a more balanced response. Additionally, ensure you meet the minimum word count requirement to avoid a penalty.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat limited and occasionally mechanical. For example, the transition 'As conclution' is non-standard and detracts from the flow. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words and phrases such as 'Furthermore,' 'In addition to this,' or 'Consequently' to connect your ideas more naturally. Ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence to improve the overall structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'childer's', 'genaration', 'delvelop', 'differnt', 'conclution', 'posssitive') and word choice issues (e.g., 'thought for sponsorship' instead of 'consideration of sponsorship'). The range is somewhat limited, relying on basic descriptors. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary related to community and investment, and pay closer attention to spelling accuracy, as frequent errors can distract the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'this days outdoor sports in very rarerly played' and 'there inner thoughts' (should be 'their'). These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To improve, focus on basic subject-verb agreement and the correct use of possessive pronouns ('their' vs 'there'). Practicing sentence construction will help you produce more error-free sentences, which is essential for achieving a higher band score.
