Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.0)
I am writing this letter to you as I came across your advertisement about wanting a feedback for pupils regarding your sponsor opinion.
I hope my feedback would be a great help in figuring out where to spend your money.
According to me, sponsoring a sport team would help children's to indulge more into sports as these days due to technology it has become difficult for children's to get access to outdoor sports activities. along with that it would help raising funds to a team and teams can spend little more in providing proper training to sportsman.
On the other hand, sponsoring for open air ticket will also be a great initiative as these has never done by any company before it will give a chance to someone who has never got a opportunity to attend a concert.
With these, your company would always be remembered by pupils and would become a bribe to come visit your company.
To bring constructive decision best way to spend money is to sponsor children's as many would get benefited from these.
Thank you.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points of the prompt, which is a positive start. You clearly described the benefits of the sports team, summarized the benefits of the concerts, and provided a clear recommendation. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For example, your explanation of the concert benefits is a bit vague, and the reasoning for your final choice could be more persuasive. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are fully extended with more specific details or examples. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though some phrasing is slightly unnatural.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the introduction to the specific points and finally to a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices like 'On the other hand' and 'Along with that' to link ideas. However, the paragraphing is quite weak; the entire body of the letter is essentially one large block, which makes it harder to read. Using clear paragraph breaks for each distinct point would significantly improve the structure. Additionally, some transitions are a bit mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall readability.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, but there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors. For example, 'wanting a feedback' should be 'seeking feedback', and 'bribe to come visit' is an incorrect use of the word 'bribe'—you likely meant 'incentive' or 'reason'. Phrases like 'indulge more into sports' are also slightly unnatural. While your vocabulary is adequate for the task, you need to focus on using words in their correct context and improving your collocation skills to achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include pluralization errors ('children's' instead of 'children'), article usage ('a sport team' vs 'a sports team'), and prepositional errors ('due to technology it has become difficult'). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and tense consistency, such as 'these has never done'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and proofreading for common slips would be very beneficial.
