Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, significantly impacting the task achievement. Because the letter is only 94 words long, the ideas are severely underdeveloped. You have mentioned the sports team and the concerts, but you have not actually described the benefits of the sports team or summarized the benefits of the concerts; instead, you have asked the company to explain these things to you. This is a misunderstanding of the task instructions, which require you to provide this information to the company. Consequently, the response does not fulfill the core requirements of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter uses basic paragraphing, but the logical progression is weak because the content does not address the prompt's requirements. While you use transition words like 'Secondly' and 'Thirdly', they are used incorrectly as the content following them does not logically follow the previous points. The referencing is also unclear; for instance, you refer to 'the merits of this' without clearly establishing what 'this' refers to in the context of the previous sentence. The overall structure is fragmented due to the brevity of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on simple phrases such as 'matter of concern' and 'merits of this'. There is no attempt to use more sophisticated or topic-specific vocabulary related to community sponsorship, sports, or public events. Some word choices are awkward, such as 'three fold benefits for us', which is not used in a natural way. To improve, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary to describe the positive impacts of the proposed initiatives.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are several grammatical errors that hinder clarity. For example, 'I am writing this email to your attention' is incorrect; it should be 'to your attention' or 'to bring to your attention'. The phrase 'how this can be helpful for the children's?' is grammatically incorrect as it uses a possessive noun where a noun is needed. Additionally, 'looking forward to your response' lacks the subject 'I am'. The sentence structures are mostly simple, and the errors in basic grammar and sentence construction are frequent.
