Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt: it describes the benefits of the sports team, summarizes the benefits of the concerts, and provides a clear recommendation. The ideas are relevant and the position is consistent throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For example, the explanation of why parents cannot afford sports is a bit simplistic, and the link between concerts and stress reduction is stated rather than fully explored. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more detailed justifications for your opinions, ensuring that the connection between the company's investment and the community's needs is more thoroughly explained.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs for each option, and a concluding recommendation. The use of cohesive devices such as 'Therefore', 'Thus', and 'As per my perspective' helps to guide the reader through the argument. However, there are some issues with referencing and flow. For instance, the phrase 'due to that they are not allowing' is awkward and disrupts the logical progression. Additionally, some transitions feel a bit mechanical. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall flow of the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'monetary issues', 'well-being', and 'invest'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'provide a feedback' (should be 'provide feedback'), 'youngster sports team' (should be 'youth sports team'), and 'work isuses' (spelling error). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic descriptors. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring correct word forms, which will help you move toward a more natural and sophisticated tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'it wil brings' (subject-verb agreement), 'your company spend' (should be 'spends'), and 'individuals facing various work isuses' (missing auxiliary verb). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and the closing salutation. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of verb tenses. Proofreading for basic errors like missing articles or incorrect pluralization will significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
