Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points, but the development is limited. You describe the benefits of the sports team and concerts, and provide a recommendation. However, the response is under the 150-word minimum, which negatively impacts the task achievement score. The ideas are somewhat underdeveloped; for instance, the explanation of how the sports team promotes the company is vague. To improve, ensure you expand on your points with more specific details or examples to meet the length requirement and provide a more comprehensive response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks clear paragraphing, which is essential for a formal letter. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'firstly', the flow is hindered by the lack of structure. The transition between the introduction and the body of the letter is abrupt. To improve, organize your response into distinct paragraphs: one for the introduction, one for each of the bullet points, and a final concluding paragraph. This will help the reader follow your argument more logically.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the range and precision expected for higher bands. Phrases like 'you guys' are too informal for a letter to a company. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'embrace children in sports' and 'area,s'. To improve, focus on using more formal, academic vocabulary and ensure your word choices are precise. Avoid colloquialisms and ensure you proofread for basic errors in word form and punctuation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('the sports player... they are'), punctuation (incorrect use of commas and apostrophes), and sentence structure. The sentence 'As for your knowledge the sports player from my area,s, they are professional international players' is grammatically weak. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and using punctuation correctly. Aim to incorporate a wider variety of complex sentence structures while maintaining accuracy.
