Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses all three bullet points, but the development of ideas is very limited and often unclear. While you mention the benefits of the sports team and the concerts, the explanations are fragmented and lack logical depth. For example, the section on the sports team is difficult to follow due to grammatical errors, and the argument for the concerts is underdeveloped. To improve, you should provide more specific, coherent reasons for your preferences rather than repeating phrases like 'more benefits of company'. The tone is also inconsistent for a formal letter.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The letter is divided into paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas, making the text feel like a series of disjointed sentences. Referencing is often unclear, such as in the sentence 'they was all peoples follow rules', which makes it difficult to understand who you are referring to. The progression of ideas is not logical, and the transition between the benefits of the sports team and the concerts is abrupt. Using linking words like 'furthermore', 'however', or 'consequently' would help improve the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and spelling (e.g., 'sponser' instead of 'sponsor', 'nowdays' instead of 'nowadays'). You rely heavily on simple phrasing, which limits your ability to express complex ideas clearly. There is little evidence of less common lexical items or collocations. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your vocabulary range and focus on using words accurately in context. For instance, instead of repeating 'benefits of company', try using terms like 'corporate image', 'community engagement', or 'brand visibility'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'they was all peoples'), tense usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack a clear subject and verb. While there is an attempt to use complex ideas, the lack of control over basic grammar prevents these from being expressed accurately. You should focus on mastering simple sentence structures before attempting more complex ones, and pay close attention to pluralization and verb forms.
