IELTS Writing Task 1 question

A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children's sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.

Write a letter to the company. In your letter

• describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
• summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
• say how you think the company should spend the money

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

I am writing this letter in response to your decision of spending a certain amount of money to sponsor a sports team or open air concerts.

I am very happy to hear that the money you offered to a local sports team of children for two years have many benefits. Primarily, having more money provide better training facilities as with that money more equipment can be bought. Along with it, they get a chance to participate in inter state and national events.

On the other hand, sponsorship of two open air concerts provide a way to the public to enjoy performances of various local and international artists. Moreover, these kind of events enhance tourism and exchange of cultures in an area.

As both the areas get benefitted from the money allocated by your company. Next month, the team has planned to go to training camp in the Calgary so it will be great help for them. Also, open air concert of famous band can be arranged with the sum provided
