IELTS Writing Task 1 question

A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children's sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.

Write a letter to the company. In your letter

• describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
• summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
• say how you think the company should spend the money

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to give my feedback about pros of sponsoring teams and also advantages of paying for the concerts.

Firstly, If you could help sports team this will not only boost the confidence of youngsters but also encourage other children to involve in sports activity. As a result they will learn various skills such as Teamwork, Co-operation and Sportsmanship.

On the other hand, People will get a chance for enjoyment at concerts. Due to everyone's hectic schedule they do not go out for enjoyment. This event can become enjoyment for them.

I think instead of spending money on one event company could divide money and organize both events. So both generation could take benefits of these.

I hope you would appreciate my viewpoints and I looking forward to hearing from you. As a society member I would like to say thanks for your efforts.
