IELTS Writing Task 1 question

A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children's sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.

Write a letter to the company. In your letter

• describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
• summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
• say how you think the company should spend the money

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to give my suggestions regarding the investment of money for local projects.

Firstly, Investing into local children's sport team be more advantageous because it keeps children healthy and fit as they are able to learn different games under the special tutors. Additionally, I believe it brings a positive change into our community as it helps to strengthen the bond between them.

Alternatively, paying for the concert is there own benefits as by joining live concerts people can enjoy their lives and get relief from the hectic schedules. Furthermore, it will helps to motivate the local artist to come out to take part in shows which will help build future career in music.

According to me they should spend money equally on the both tasks as sport will help children to stay connected with physical activities and lice concerts give chances to new artists to build their future.
