IELTS Writing Task 1 question

A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children's sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.

Write a letter to the company. In your letter

• describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
• summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
• say how you think the company should spend the money

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter to give my feedback about whether company can spend money for children's sports team or on two open-air concerts.

I think providing fund for sports team brings tremendous benefits to the local society and company. For example, sponsoring the sports team for children will encourage them to take participate in the physical activities and would be improve their health over time. Additionally, a number of talented children get an opportunity to showcase their capabilities by playing sports. Apart from that, free sports training will be responsible for their overall growth and development of essential life skills like good communication, cooperation, critical-thinking, disciplined, sportsmanship and teamwork. Also, this kind of charity work will improve the image of company in the local community.

Paying for the concerts will plays a pivotal role for the society because it will promote them to attend free open-air concerts with their family and have some fun. Additionally, they will get entertainment and feel more refreshed and energetic by attending concerts after long working hours.

I will appreciate it if you will spend funding for the local society over live concerts, because it will promote children to inculcate healthy habits and get a chance to have another option for their career. And, it will have a long term positive effects on their future. Therefore, I suggest you to provide fund for the sports team.
