IELTS Writing Task 1 question

A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children's sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.

Write a letter to the company. In your letter

• describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
• summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
• say how you think the company should spend the money

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear sir or madam,

i am writing to thankyou for your company's decision to spend some money on our local community. It is great to see a large company helping the local neighbours in this way.

Both of your ideas are good. Organizing two open-air concerts would be a lot of fun for eveyone, and it would give people a nice chance to meet up and listen to local musicians. On the other hand, sponsoring a children's sports team for two years would be very beneficial for youth fitness. It would help buy equipment and make it more affordable for parents to register their children.

In my opinion, you should choose the sports team sponsorship. While the concerts would be very enjoyable, they only last for some time but suppoorting youth support team creates positive and healthy impact on children's life that last for two yearas.
