IELTS Writing Task 1 question

A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children's sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.

Write a letter to the company. In your letter

• describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
• summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
• say how you think the company should spend the money

Dear sir/madam,

I hope life is treating you well. I am writing this letter to express my overwhelming feelings when I read the news that you are going to sponsor a sports team and organise two open - air concerts. This approach really allows thousands of children to participate in outdoor games, which are beneficial for them.

Moreover, those children who cannot afford the expenses of participating in games can get an opportunity to enjoy the games. People can get a chance to watch the live matches of their children.

We all are encouraged to you for this act because it catches the attention of the children. Instead of playing indoor games and watching mobile phones, they prefer to go outside and do physical activities.
