Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response touches on all three requested points: it mentions the sports team’s health and positive use of free time, notes that concerts could bring people of different ages together, and expresses gratitude to the company. However, the final recommendation is missing: you do not clearly say whether the company should fund the team or the concerts. The benefits are also only briefly stated, and the opening focuses on thanking the company rather than setting out the purpose of the letter. To improve, state your choice directly and support it with a specific reason, then give each option a clear, relevant benefit. A suitable closing should reinforce your recommendation rather than simply offer general thanks.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic sequence from the sports-team benefits to the concerts and then a concluding paragraph, so the reader can identify the two options being discussed. However, the ideas are not organised into a clear formal letter: there is no clear opening explaining why you are writing, and the conclusion does not resolve the choice. Connections between ideas are limited, with phrases such as “Another and important benefit” doing much of the linking. Some sentences are difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear punctuation. Use separate paragraphs for the opening, each option, and your recommendation, and connect each paragraph with simple, accurate transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “sponsor,” “sports,” “health,” “daily activities,” and “different ages.” Phrases such as “bad habits” and “chance to play” communicate basic ideas, but the range is limited and some expressions are not natural for this context. Spelling errors—including “soceity,” “banifits,” “consert,” and “copmany”—make the letter less clear and reduce the accuracy of your word choices. Some wording, such as “become largely pleasure,” does not express the intended meaning naturally. Build a small set of accurate phrases for discussing community benefits and recommendations, and check spelling carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, for example, “There are many benefits…” and the sentence explaining that people of different ages can meet and enjoy concerts. However, control of sentence structure is inconsistent. In “individuals of different ages will meets,” the verb form does not agree with the subject, while “they will reject all bad habits do in free time” has an unclear grammatical relationship between the ideas. Articles, verb forms, and punctuation also need attention; several sentences run together, and the opening contains a long sequence of clauses without clear boundaries. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then combine them with conjunctions and check each sentence for a complete, clear structure.
